You know how a few small things can create a landslide? That’s how my cat collection began. I had no idea of collecting cats. It never ever crossed my mind. My dad had given me a Garfield pencil eraser. Later it was a pewter kitty playing with yarn. But let’s face it: two decorative cats do not a collection make. Oh, and if I had ever collected cats, I gave it up at least a decade ago.
The little fellows should be displayed with dignity, and in order for that to happen, I’d have to take up dusting. So, no more cats unless they actually use a litter box. I enjoyed and appreciated every little knick-knack from each loving person who gave them to me, but enough is enough. And just as a warning to my children, I’m putting your names on every one of them and you will have to deal with them after I am gone. 😆 Anyway, here they are: the cats of the world.
Do you have any collections (intentional or otherwise)?
Not of this type. I do have a movie collection though! I really enjoyed the photos of the various cats! It’s a nice collection,S!

Thank you. I have them in a glass cupboard now – less dusting. 😀

OMG, I don’t know what to say…lol I guess the question is do you really love cats? Just kidding. Can’t say I am a cat connoisseur but I feel that way about my moving collection. Would you consider auctioning them off on E-bay?

Some of them have some value, but I’d sooner give those to my kids. Some of them were from my father in law and most of those were not as valuable except for his wanting to do something to please me. My favorite is the Portuguese crystal.

😆 This is funny! I probably did have one at one time, I can’t remember. Sharp weapons, that’s it! What does George think about all the cats?

Haha! The problem is once people know you likes cats you tend to become a cat collector whether you mean to or not. Almost every gift I get is either book related or cat related – sometimes both! I also tend to get given chocolate cats quite regularly. But your collection is huge! I love the Siamese ones, and the German ones. 😀

It’s funny that you are writing about your collection…I was just writing about my elephants! You do have a lot of cats, that’s for sure! I think that George is the most handsome though.

Cats don’t take up as much room as elephants. Just sayin’. George says he is pretty, not handsome.
Yeah, your elephant collection came upon you unawares just like my cats. For awhile I decided to go with the flow, but …

I don’t really collect them anymore. I sent some to Uganda last year and until I started working on writing had the rest hidden away. My stuffed animals seem to grow legs and walk if I don’t keep them hidden.

I wonder how that happens?
